The Davis Cup by Rakuten Madrid Finals has once again launched its Tennis Health programme, targeted at primary school children to promote sporting values among its youngest fans.
Following the success of the first edition, in which more than 4,000 children from the Region of Madrid participated, this year, to support schools, the entire programme will be offered online with all materials provided on its website www.tennishealth.es.
Starting with the main features of the Davis Cup, the website offers multidisciplinary content on geography, nutrition and physical activities typical of tennis training, so that children can get in shape before returning to the courts.
Albert Costa, director of the Davis Cup by Rakuten Finals, said: "This year we have reinforced our programme by offering all content online. We want to help schools to complement their online learning resources and to be able to help children and their families in these weeks marked by the closure of schools due to Covid-19. Among our content this year, a new training section stands out, developed together with coaches from the Madrid Tennis Federation".
Tennis Health has been created by the organisers of the Davis Cup Finals in collaboration with the Region of Madrid, the City of Madrid, the Madrid Tennis Federation, and the International Tennis Federation.
