Vilaplana Catering will be in charge of the gastronomy of the Davis Cup by Rakuten Madrid Finals 2019 and 2020. In the debut of its new format, the organisers have relied on Vilaplana, the high-end catering brand of Compass Group in Spain, to manage the restoration of an event that will turn Madrid into the world capital of tennis.

Vilaplana's proposal will bring the best gastronomy of Madrid to all those attending the competition, which this year is held in the Caja Mágica from the 18th to the 24th of November. In the VIP area, this concept will be developed through "Cómete Madrid", a culinary tour in which between 6 and 8 of the most renowned chefs and venues in the capital, such as Ricardo Sanz (Kabuki) and Sacha Hormaechea (Sacha), will participate. The rest of the names will be revealed in the next weeks.

Francesco Ferretti, commercial director of Vilaplana Catering, says that this is an exciting challenge "because we are talking about one of the most important sports events in the world that, in its new and ambitious set-up, will attract even more attention from all. We are already working so that our proposal meets the expectations of the renewed Davis Cup”.

The Vilaplana project takes up this idea and it is a pleasure for us to have them on board".

Music, performing arts, ambience and illusionism will complete a proposal in which, with gastronomy, everything will converge and make sense in order to immerse the attendees in a complete experience. They will be able to enjoy a brunch, drink a vermouth, eat lunch, have a tea and an afternoon snack, or dine in the modality that is preferred, from a quick snack to a quiet and restful one. The objective: to turn it into something unique to satisfy tennis fans from 18 countries around the world who are going to meet, for the first time in history, in the same venue and city in a single week of competition to decide who will be crowned Davis Cup champion.
