The team

When they won the Junior Davis Cup in Madrid in 2015, Denis Shapovalov and Felix Auger-Aliassime challenged themselves to lead the ‘senior’ team one day. That moment came... and they didn't disappoint. The young Canadian players (19 and 18, respectively) were one step away from being crowned Davis Cup champions in 2019, with the support this time of Vasek Pospisil who rediscovered his form in Madrid, playing his best tennis.

Canada thus managed to reach the final of the competition for the first time in its history. Its young generation of tennis players promises to continue achieving in 2020 and will undoubtedly be a fearsome rival for any opponent.
