After 52 years of Davis Cup action, Colombia have a historic mission ahead of them. Despite having competed in the World Group six times, they had not previously managed to measure themselves against the best in the final stages of the competition. Now, however, the 'cafeteros' will premiere in style at the Davis Cup Madrid Finals in November after defeating Sweden, thanks to singles wins for Santiago Giraldo, Alejandro Gonzalez, and Daniel Elahi Galan.
