Scotland's largest city, Glasgow is an exciting mix of vibrant working metropolis and historic cultural centre.
Built on a history of shipbuilding, engineering and industry, the city is also home to impressive cultural jewels including the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Glasgow was the European City of Culture in 1990.
Well versed in major events, the city hosted the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference - Cop 26, the 2014 Commonwealth Games and was one of the hosts for the UEFA Euro 2020.
Built for the 2014 Commonwealth Games, the Emirates Arena is a state-of-the-art sports facility, home to the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome and arena that is used regularly for major sports events including athletics, gymnastics and badminton.
